First Draft

Our digipak was a long process to create as there were many conventions that we had to take into account. Our first digipak front cover was very bland and did not look very professional at all. I believed that the key image was an effective one and well placed according to conventions of rap. We also took into consideration the colour palette that was used in Eminem's LP2 album and saw that it was conventional to have black and white colours. We therefore carried this on in both versions of our digipak as it was very conventional.

We believed that the progress was very good from our first digipak to our second as we incorporated aspects from our music video into our digipak including the hood up with a blacked out face which aroused a lot more mystery and suspicion around the main character. The rising smoke in the background also configures this mystery and suspicion, and we gained the idea from it by using a smoke machine within our music video during our rapping scenes. This showed excellent continuity between our products.

It is also very conventional for songs with explicit language within them, a parental advisory sticker is placed on the digipak to warn listeners of this language. Although our primary audience is primarily of age it is still required that we include this. We also made sure to include Eminem's own personal logo as this is also a conventional thing to do and we knew must stand out to the audience to make them aware of who the artist is and with Eminem people will instantly know our genre and audience.
